This was part of an embroidery project i did in the first year of my degree, it was focused around traditional textiles and needlework techniques and throughout the project I referenced samplers and the oppression of women though textiles that I found in 'The Subversive Stitch'.I collected found teabags, lace, doilies and used the traditional hand embroidery techniques that the young women would have used on their samplers.
