Wednesday at Lyndon

Well first thing this morning we opened the kiln and were greeted by some beautiful shiny pots!
The colours were so lovely and vibrant and the translucency of the glaze really picked out the texture in the pots. The tiles are really lovely too. I was surprised at how much I liked the vibrant orange and mustard yellow, I'd been a bit apprehensive.

The larger green pots were my demonstration pots and the big group pots image is all of the pots we made between us over the week.
This was all based on my mould making project last year and seemed a really simple quick project to do with the year 8s.
They've not seen their pots yet but i know they'll love them. I'm so proud of my groups - they have all worked really hard!

  2. Yeahhh, same as my project last year, but less precise, and mainly made my 12 year olds! they're lovely aren't they?
I didn't have much choice about the colour, they only have a few in school, they are low temp firing non toxic ones, but the greens and the pale blues have come out really nice!!
    Thanks! xxx
